Brad Davis won a Golden Globe Award for his film acting debut in the biographical film Midnight Express. Prior to Midnight Express, Davis had a small role in the TV mini-series Roots, and Sally Field’s love in interest in the TV film Sybil. He also played “Robert Kennedy” in the mini-series Robert Kennedy & His Times.
In 1979, Davis contracted AIDS from intravenous drug use and kept the illness secret. After revealing that he had AIDS he became an AIDS activist, attacking the Hollywood industry and U. S. Government for ignoring and shunning AIDS victims.

Since his Academy Award winning performance as “Bad Blake” in Crazy Heart, Jeff Bridges has reprised the role of “Rooster Cogburn” in the film True Grit. John Wayne played the role in 1969 and won the Academy Award for Best Actor. Bridges has been nominated for a Best Actor Oscar for his portrayal of “Cogburn”.
Jeff Bridges was a handsome, sexy man when he was younger and has only gotten better with age.

Vintage guy David Hasselhoff will always be remembered for his roles as “Michael Knight” in Knight Rider and “Mitch Buchannon” on the various Baywatch gigs. And, of course, there was his role as “Dr. William ‘Snapper” Foster, Jr” on The Young and The Restless from 1975-1982 and a return to the role for a few episodes in 2010.
However, did you know that Hasselhoff also had a short musical career? Seems he had two number one hits on the German pop charts. Then, in 2006, there was the stage play David Hasselhoff: The Musical which he co-wrote and, naturally, starred in. It opened in Australia. Not sure if it was seen anywhere else.

Sure he’s been in some trouble now and then, and now and then, and now and then, but that doesn’t mean vintage actor Robert Downey Jr isn’t still one sexy guy. And he’s done some pretty good stuff lately. Like the action/comedy Tropic Thunder, Iron Man and Iron Man 2, and The Soloist with Jamie Foxx. So, hopefully his troubles are behind him and we can look forward to more Robert Downey Jr films.

Although he’s gotten a bit, OK, a lot, older, vintage actor Sylvester Stallone did another Rocky film in 2006 and a Rambo film in 2008. Wow! I bet that took some courage! Anyway, he was out front and center in 2010 in the starring role of “Barney Ross” in The Expendables. It was a film about mercenaries out to get a South American dictator and featured lots of vintage actors such as: Dolph Lundgren, Eric Roberts, and Steve Austin. Possibly a last chance at the tough guy roles for them. Next up Stallone will stay behind the scenes and do the voice of Lion in an animated film titled Zookeeper. Adam Sandler has the lead role, doing the voice of Monkey.
