Born Albert William Upton in Los Angeles, CA, Willie Aames is best known as “Tommy Bradford” on the 70s family comedy Eight Is Enough and as “Buddy Lembeck” on Charles in Charge.  While on Eight Is Enough Aames formed a rock band called “Willie Aames & Paradise”.  Although primarily a television actor he appeared in a few films, notably Paradise opposite Phoebe Cates and Zapped opposite Scott Baio.
After struggling with drugs and alcohol for more than twenty years Aames became an ordained minister and starred in a video series and yearly touring performance as the Christian superhero “Bibleman”.  Willie Aames is quoted as saying:  “You get to a point where you have two choices.  You either put a gun to your hear or you pray”.

Rory Calhoun was born Francis Timothy McCown in Los Angeles, CA.  He made his film debut with a small role in the musical comedy Something for the Boys.  His first featured role was in River of No Return which starred Robert Mitchum and Marilyn Monroe.  He appeared in several  westerns, musicals and comedy films before starring in the television western The Texan.  The show ran for two seasons and after its cancellation Calhoun continued acting in television and film, including Thunder in Carolina, Rawhide, Hawaii Five-O, and Starsky and Hutch. His last role was as “Ernest Tucker” in the film Pure Country.

Jackie Chan was born in Hong Kong, China and his birth name is Kong-sang Chan.  Kong-sang simply means “born in Hong Kong”.  After the death of martial arts legend Bruce Lee, the search for an actor to take his place.  Along came Jackie Chan who felt that he should develop his own style rather than attempt to imitate the style of Bruce Lee.  He became one of the first martial artists to combine action with comedy.

Jeffrey Hunter was born Henry Herman McKinnies, Jr. in New Orleans, LA.  He began acting while still in his teens in local theater and radio.  Hunter worked in stage productions at the University of Illinois, and later, at the University of California where he was discovered by talent scouts who were very impressed with the tall, blue-eyed handsome young man.
Hunter made his first major film appearance with a small part in the film-noir Fourteen Hours.   He went from featured roles to the starring role in the action film Single-Handed.  His breakthrough role came when he co-starred with John Wayne in The Searchers, a film directed by John Ford.  He won excellent reviews for his acting and the fact that he was able to hold his own with the veteran actor Wayne.  Hunter’s career continued to flourish in films such as The Last Hurrah, Sergeant Rutledge and Hell to Eternity.  He played Jesus in the Biblical film King of Kings to reviews that ran from praise to ridicule.
Hunter also worked in television with his own series Temple Houston among other appearances.
Jeffrey Hunter said, “I was told I had arrived when, during the shooting of The Searchers, they gave me almost as much ammunition as they gave John Wayne”.  Hunter died at the young age of 42 after suffering what was his second stroke
