George “James Bond II” Lazenby

Born in New South Wales, Australia, George Robert Lazenby was the second actor, after Sean Connery, to play debonair, playboy-spy 007.  He was offered the role by the series producer Albert T. Broccoli despite his lack of acting experience.  He was offered a contract for seven Bond movies but was advised by his agent that the James Bond character would be outdated in the free-wheeling 70s and Lazenby appeared in only one Bond film, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.  Lazenby’s career faded after his one Bond movie.  He once said, “I’m still waiting for that one right, perfect role, to set things right.  I’d really love that chance.”  It would seem he had that chance and just didn’t know it.

Scott Leo Diggs made his acting debut as a cast member of the Tony Award winning play Carousel and  was one of the original cast members in the Broadway musical Rent.  Diggs’ first television role was as “Adrian ‘Sugar’ Hill” on the soap opera Guiding Light and his film debut was as “Winston Shapespeare” in How Stella Got Her Groove Back.  He played “Jackson Duper” on Ally McBeal, “Kevin Hill” on the short-lived series Kevin Hill, “Detective Brett Hopper” in another one season series called Daybreak.  Diggs is currently portraying “Dr. Sam Bennett” on the Grey’s Anatomy spinoff Private Practice. Tommy Lee was born as Thomas Lee Bass in Athens, Greece.  He is the founding member and drummer of the hard rock band Motley Crue.  Motley Crue has sold more than 80 million albums worldwide.  Lee left the band in 1999 to pursue a solo career.  In 2004 the four original band members reunited for a reunion tour, followed by the “Carnival of Sins” tour in 2005, and the “Route of All Evil Tour” in 2006.  The bands ninth studio album, “Saints of Los Angeles” was released in June of 2008.  There are plans to make a film, titled The Dirt, which is based on the band’s autobiography with a possible release date of 2011.
