Richard Egan, born in San Francisco, CA was a handsome, well –built Hollywood actor who had his first small role in the film The Story of Molly X. Hollywood producers took notice of him and which lead to a contract with 20th Century Fox.  Egan starred as Elvis Presley’s older brother in Presley’s first film Love Me Tender.  He also played the male lead in A Summer Place, opposite actress Jane Wyman in Pollyanna, and as “King Ahasuersus”, opposite Joan Collins, in Esther and the King.  Other films include A View from Pompey’s Head, Slaughter on 10th Ave., Voice in the Mirror(the story of Jim Burton co-founder of Alcoholics Anonymous), and Moonfire.  Egan also did work on television, starring on the series Empire, which co-starred Ryan O’Neal, and the western/drama Redigo.
Richard Egan was known in the acting community for helping many young actors get their first break in films.  One of the actors was Ryan O’Neal.

In 1968, Jimmy Page, guitarist in the band “The Yardbirds” was looking for a lead singer.  He met Plant who was singing in a band named “Hobbstweedle” , the two immediately hit it off and Plant joined “The Yardbirds” bringing John Bonham as drummer.  They were joined by multi-instrumentalist John Paul Jones, and, in 1968, the band became known as “Led Zeppelin”.
“Led Zeppelin” has won numerous awards including the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and induction into the Rock and Roll of Fame.  The band sold over 200 million albums worldwide, 111.5 being sold in the US.
The band broke up in 1982 after the death of John Bonham and Robert Plant achieved a successful solo career starting with the studio album Pictures at Eleven followed by The Principle of Moments, Shaken ‘n’ Stirred, Now and Zen, Manic Nirvana, Fate of Nations, Dreamland, and Mighty ReArranger.
Beginning in 2007, Plant began performing with bluegrass star Alison Krauss.  Together they recorded the duet album Raising Sand which won Album of the Year at the 2009 Grammy Awards.
Robert Plant has become known as one of the most significant singers in rock music and, in 2008, Rolling Stone named him as number 15 on their list of 100 Greatest Singers of All Time.

George Richard Chamberlain was born in Beverly Hills, CA and became a teen age heartthrob when he appeared as “Dr. Kildare” in the medical drama of the same name.  The series ran for five seasons and was nominated for three Emmy Awards.  Chamberlain won a Golden Globe Award for Best TV Star-Male.  Veteran actor Raymond Massey played the surgeon mentor to Chamberlain’s young medical intern.
Wanting to be known as a serious actor and not just a teen idol he left the Hollywood scene and turned the theater.  He played roles in stage productions of The Philadelphia Story, Private Lives and, showing his vocal talents, played “Tony” in West Side Story, as well as a musical version of Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Going to England, he showed his talent for classical performances as Hamlet and Richard II.
During the 1980s Chamberlain became known as the “King of Mini-movies, performing in The Count of Monte-Cristo, Centennial, The Thorn Birds and Shogun. He won two more Golden Globe Awards for his performance in The Thorn Birds and Centennial.
Speaking of his homosexuality Richard Chamberlain said, “When I grew up, being gay, being a sissy or anything like that was verboten.  I disliked myself intensely and feared this part of myself intensely and had to hide it and become “Perfect Richard, All-American Boy” as a place to hide

He was born Douglas Osborne McClure in Glendale, CA and was a blond haired hunk with a smile that could stop you heart.  His boyish good looks allowed him to play 20ish roles well into his late 40s.  In his early career he appeared on dozens of television series’ episodes such as Death Valley Days, Maverick, Mackenzie’s Raiders and Overland Trail. He was given the part of “Jed Sills” in the critically acclaimed detective series Checkmate which also starred Anthony George and Sebastian Cabot.  The series ran for two seasons and was praised for the intelligence of the writing and the outstanding performances.
McClure eventually became well known for his portrayal of “Trampas” in the western series The Virginian.  The show, which ran for nine seasons, also starred James Drury in the lead role as “The Virginian” and Lee J. Cobb as “Judge Henry Garth”.
After The Virginian, McClure’s career was never as successful.  For the last couple of years of his life he was fighting cancer but continued to work appearing in an episode of Maverick, the film Riders in the Storm and one episode of the TV series Kung Fu: The Legend Continues which didn’t appear until after his death from lung cancer.

Born in Los Angeles, Christopher Thomas Howell was a child rodeo star before becoming a film actor.  He film debut was in a made-for-TV movie called It Happened One Christmas.  He was originally hired as a child stuntman in E. T. and eventually was given a small role as one of the bicycle riders near the end of the film.  Howell played the lead role of “Ponyboy Curtis” in The Outsiders which also starred Matt Dillon, Ralph Macchio, Patrick Swayze, Rob Lowe, Emilio Estevez and Tom Cruise.  He and Patrick Swayze appeared in two more films together:  Grandview U. S. A. and Red Dawn.  He was “Jim Halsey” in The Hitcher and its sequel The Hitcher II: I’ve Been Waiting.  Rutger Hauer was the star of The Hitcher and he and Howell appeared in two more films together.  The films were Crossworlds and The Poseidon Adverture

Born on March 23, 1965 Richard John Grieco, Jr.  is undoubtedly best known as “Officer Dennis Booker” on the late 80s television series 21 Jump Street.  Although Grieco was in only 18 episodes he continued the role of “Officer Booker” the spin-off series Booker. His film work includes his portrayal of “Bugsy Siegel” in Mobsters which starred Christian Slater, “Sergeant Bradley” in The Journey: Absolution starring Mario Lopez, the lead role in Blackheart with Christopher Plummer, and as “Joey Randall” in Final Payback. Grieco has appeared in numerous other films and television series episodes.
Richard Grieco is also a musician and released a CD titled Waiting for the Sky to Fall in 1995.

Craig Eric Sheffer was born in York, PA and competed in regional and state high school drams competitions at the age of 15.  His first national acting role was on TV soap opera One Life to Live as “Ian Hayden followed by prime time serial The Hamptons.  He then co-starred with Emilio Estevez in the film That Was Then…This Is Now, followed by the starring role in Fire with Fire and in the role of “Hardy Henns on Some Kind of Wonderful with Eric Stoltz, Mary Stuart Masterson and Lea Thompson.  His best known roles were “Aaron/Cabal” in Nightbreed, “Norman Maclean” in A River Runs Through It and quarterback Joe Kane in The Program.  Sheffer appeared as “Keith Scott” for six seasons of the TV drama series One Tree Hill.

Matthew Steven LeBlanc was born in Newton, MA.  The word that comes to mind regarding him is “adorable”.   Well, People Magazine also h=named him one of the 50 Most Beautiful People and there is no argument there.
LeBlanc  started out spearing in TV commercials for Heinz, Levi’s, 7Up and Coca-Cola in the late 80s.  His television debut was in the drama TV 101.  He appeared as “Vinnie Verducci” in three episodes of Married…with Children and continued the role in a spin-off called Top of the Heap which only lasted for seven episodes.  In 1994 LeBlanc was cast as “Joey Tribbiani” of the hit series Friends. Leonard Simon Nimoy, born in Boston, MA, and known to millions as Mr. Spock on the Star Trek TV series and the many films to follow. But, has he done any other roles?  The answer is yes, and plenty of them.  His first appearance was in a comedy/drama film called Queen for a Day. He continued to play in many television series episodes such as M Squad, Sea Hunt, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Death Valley Days, Get Smart, and Gunsmoke, before being cast as the Vulcan-Human  Mr. Spock.  The original Star Trek series ran for three seasons.  However,  it was followed by a Star Trek animated series, and several Star Trek films among them: Star Trek: The Wrath Of Khan, Star Trek  III, IV, V, VI, and a 2009 film with Chris Pine playing Kirk and Leornard Nimoy playing and older Spock.

Nguyen Xuan Tri , born in Saigon, South Vietnam is an actor, director, writer and martial artist.  Nguyen’s father was an actor and his mother an actress and dancer in South Vietnam.  The family left Vietnam the day Saigon fell to the Communist Viet Cong.
Nguyen’s acting debut was in a guest starring role as Suki on General Hospital.  He continued to receive roles in series episodes including a special two-hour Magnum, P.I.  He may be best known as “Officer Harry Truman Ioki” on 21 Jump Street which also starred Johnny Depp.  He also appeared in three seasons of V.I.P. as “Johnny Loh” as well as several films such as Heaven and Earth, Virtuosity, starring Denzel Washington, the comedy Hundred Percent, and Little Fish starring Cate Blanchett.
In 2001, Dustin Nguyen’s wife was in a car accident which left her a quadriplegic.  He and wife, Angela, are active in The Christopher and Dana Reeve Paralysis Resource Center.
