British actor, Ralph Nathaniel Fiennes was born in Sufflok England.  He has appeared in many distinguished films such as Schindler’s List, The English Patient, The Constant Gardner, The Reader and as “Lord Voldermort” in the Harry Potter films.  Fiennes has also been active in British theater and has won the William Shakespeare Award.  He will again appear as “Lord Voldemort” in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I, to be released in November of 2010 and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II coming out in July of 2011.
According to Ralph Fiennes he “veers away from trying to understand why I act.  I just know I need to do it.”  And we, who are fans, are glad you do.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Kevin Norwood Bacon made his film debut with a small part in Animal House.  His Broadway debut was in Slab Boys with then-unknowns Sean Penn and Val Kilmer.  His film career took off in a big way when he played “Ren McCormack” in Footloose.  After appearing in a few mediocre films he won rave reviews as gay prostitute “Willie O’Keefe” in JFK.   Bacon won a Golden Globe for his performance as “Wade” in The River Wild co-starring Meryl Streep.  He appeared in many successful films such as Apollo 13,  Sleepers,  Hollow Man, Mystic River, again teaming up with Sean Penn, and Frost/Nixon. More recently, he appeared in the film My One and Only starring Renee Zellweger.
When not busy acting, Kevin Bacon is busy working with brother Michael and their band The Bacon Brothers.  They have released six albums.

Jeffrey Leon Bridges was born in Los Angeles, CA to two talented actors, his father, Lloyd Bridges, and his mother, Dorothy Dean.  Some of his earliest roles were on his father’s television series Sea Hunt, along with brother Beau Bridges and on The Lloyd Bridges Show.  His career really took off from there and he went on to make many memorable films.  Among these films were The Last Picture Show, Against All Odds, Starman, The Fabulous Baker Boys, The Fisher King, Fearless, The Big Lebowski, Iron Man, and Seabiscuit.  His latest role, that of “Bad Blake” in Crazy Heart just might win him a long overdue Oscar.

James Nathaniel Brown was born in St. Simons Island Georgia.  The Sporting News called him the greatest professional football player there ever was.  He had  a record setting nine year career as running back for the Cleveland Browns.
Brown turned to acting debuting in the film Rio Conchos.  Over the years he appeared in more than 50 films and television series episodes.  He recently appeared in the film Dream Street with Tyson Beckford and will play himself in The Sandy Creek Girls to be released sometime in 2010.
Jim Brown’s reputation as the greatest player in the history of the NFL drew this response from a defensive lineman when asked the best way to tackle Brown:  “Grab hold of him and wait for help”.

British born mega rock star Michael Phillip Jagger is the lead singer of the Rolling Stones.  The band was formed in the early 1960s and is still performing.  Jagger says they have “no plan to stop” touring and recording.  The Stones album sales are over 1 billion and Mick Jagger is said to be worth an estimated $311 million.
Mick Jagger once said, “It’s alright letting yourself go, as long as you can get yourself back.”  Quite the philosopher this Rolling Stone!

Henry Enrique ‘Erik’ Estrada was born in New York City.  His big acting break came when he played “David Wilkerson” in Airport 1975.  From there he made appearances on television series episodes until he was cast as “Officer Francis Llewellyn ‘Ponch’ Poncherello”  for six seasons of CHiPs.  Estrada’s most recent work has been in the Tyler Perry series Meet the Browns.
After completing training, Erik Estrada has become a reserve police officer in Muncie, Indiana.

George Peppard, Jr. was born in Los Angeles, CA and began acting in Broadway plays.  His film debut was in The Strange One.  Playing “Ralphael ‘Rafe” Copley opposite Robert Mitchum in Home From the Hill gained him his first real recognition.  His most memorable film performance was in Breakfast at Tiffany’s as “Paul ‘Fred’ Varjak”  “Holly Golightly’s” love interest.   He went from the big screen to television playing the lead character in the series Banacek.  Several years, and disappointing films, later he landed the role of “John ‘Hannibal’ Smith” in the popular television series The A-Team.  His co-stars were Dwight Schultz as ‘Howling Mad’ Murdock, Dirk Benedick as “Templeton ‘Faceman’ Peck, and Mr. T as “B. A. Baracus.  The A-Team ran for five seasons.
George Peppard said of himself, “Mine isn’t a string of victories.  It’s no golden past.  I’m no George Peppard fan.”  Not to worry, Goerge.  There are plenty of people who were fans.

He was born Jonathan Vincent Voight in Yonkers, NY and became well known after his performance as “Joe Buck” in the award winning film Midnight Cowboy. Alexander Rae Baldwin III was born in Massapequa, NY and has had a prolific acting career.  He started in television making appearances in several series and played “Joshua Rush” for one season in the prime time soap Knots Landing.  Baldwin’s big screen debut was in the comedy film Forever, Lulu.  He then captured the role of “Adam Maitland” in Beetle Juice, another comedy.  Great Balls of Fire!, the story of singer Jerry Lee Lewis, saw Baldwin in the role of bible-thumping teleavangelist Jimmy Swaggart.  He was “Jack Ryan” in The Hunt for Red October, “Lamont Cranston/The Shadow” in The Shadow, “Blake” in Glengarry Glen Ross and appeared in many more great films. He currently plays “Jack Donaghy” in the award winning TV comedy 30 Rock.

Freddie Mercury, born Farrokh Bulsara in Stone Town, Zanzibar, was the lead singer in the band Queen.  He had a wide vocal range able to go from bass to tenor to high-pitched perfect coloratura.  He was described by a writer for British magazine The Spectator as “a performer out to tease, shock and ultimately charm his audience with various extravagant versions of himself”.

Mercury was also a talented songwriter and wrote ten of the seventeen songs on Queen’s Greatest Hits album.  He used a wide variety of genres in his songwriting including rockabilly, progressive rock, heavy metal, gospel and disco.  One of his most celebrated performances with Queen was during the Live Aid concert in 1985.  The 72,000 audience members participated by clapping, singing and swaying in unison.
Freddie Mercury, who once described himself as being “gay as a daffodil” died of AIDS in 1991.  In 1992 Queen founded The Mercury Phoenix Trust which has since raised millions for many different AIDS charities.  Queen also organized The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert for AIDS Awareness the same year.  The concert was live to 76 countries and had an estimated viewing audience of 1 billion people.
